i ache constantly being in transition

it tires and seeps deeper and deeper into my soul

nature, teach me how to stay still

how to allow who i am to stay constant in the change

for it to respond like roots deepening with the presence of snow

nature, teach me how to stop breaking my bones to be as malleable as possible

much like a puppet to my idea of who i should be

teach me to love the tsunamis, earthquakes and sandstorms inside me

like you do

teach me how to be the human and how to be the spirit

and teach me how to be the soul

nature, please teach me how to burn with passion like the stars

please teach me how to love and be kind

without ever being less human

teach me how to be one

but still me.
