Blisters

I sat on the side of the road and I cried, violently.
My whole body shook and every nerve felt the pain.
In the sun, my skin scorching I cried.
& every step burned my feet but I did not flinch, not once.
I walked and took the pain so never to forget how little you cared or how selfish you were.
I am on the verge of blistering but maybe this is how I will learn.
Burn what you must, do what you want.
There was a chance before, but not again.
Never again, not after this.
This is a notice that my love
has locked down.
